FAQ

GENERAL

Do I need to wash my hair before any treatment?

No, washing is included in all treatments. But keep in mind to
wash your hair 2-3 days before your appointment.

Can I still cancel my appointment?
Yes, 24 hours before your appointment you can still cancel (w/o any costs). If you cancel the day of your appointment, you will be charged 50%. If you don't show up, you'll be charged 100%.

I would like to have an appointment during the week, is this possible?

No, I'm still a full time student which allows me to only work on fridays, saturdays and/or sundays.

How can I pay for my appointment? Do you accept online payments?

You can only pay cash.

Can I purchase hairproducts at you?

At the moment I'm not offering any hairproducts. If interested, you can purchase all the satin items that you see in my webshop (while supplies last).

Do you dye hair?

No, I don't.

Do I also get advice on what products to use?

Ofcourse! After your visit me, you're supposed to know what products would be good for your hair.

Do you also treat men/boys?

I don't because I'm only specialised in treating women's hair. Luckily, there are enough hairdressers in the neighbourhood that are specialised in cutting and treating men's hair.

Do you have a salon?

No, I'm currently home based. Opening a salon is on my to do list :)

TREATMENTS

Are the treatments all natural?
Yes, all the treatments are sulfates, parabens, silicones, petroleum, drying alcohols and other unsafe chemicals FREE.

How long will the result last?

This fully depends on how you sleep with your hair and how you take care of it after the treatment.

Will  I see a big difference after one appointment?
The result depends on your hair. In some cases it is possible but to avoid any dissapointments: be realistic and know that after damaging your hair for months/years it isn't always possible to fix the damage in 2-3 hours.

I've been dying, perming and straightening my hair for a long period. I lost my curls. Do you still think it's possible to get my curly hair back?
Yes! And I'm the living proof ;) Have been damaging my hair since I was 13 with perming, dying, straightening etc. I started transitioning when I was 18 and after one year and 4 months (and a big chop) I had my curls back! Never lose hope.

I've recenly dyed my hair. Will the treatments have an impact on the color?
No, the treatments won't have an impact on your hair color. However, if you're coming for the "detox & hairboost treatment" I suggest you wait 2 weeks after dying your hair, to come in for the treatment I just mentioned.

Are the treatments  for all hairtypes?
The treatments that are being offered right now, are most suitable for hairtypes 2c - 4c.

I don't know which treatment to choose, what do I do now?

Here you can find all the information on the treatments. If you're still doubting you can send me an email to info@curlysali.com or you can send me a whatsApp message on +32 487 73 20 35. Please send me pictures of your hair and explain me what exactly your hair has been through. We'll decide together which treatment will be best.

Do you also offer "perming services".
No I don't. Curly Sali stands for 100% natural hair care and embracing your natural hair texture.

DRY CUT

I have an appointment for a dry cut. Is there anything I should keep in mind?

Please come to your appointment with clarified hair. Product build-up on your hair makes it difficult to give you a good cut. So, the day before (or the day of your appointment) please wash your hair with a sulfate shampoo, then apply your deep conditioner and let it sit for 30 minutes. Rinse off with water and apply your stylingproducts like how you would normally.  Make sure that your hair is fully dried before your appointment.  Please do not manipulate your hair with the denman brush or finger coils. I need to cut your hair in it's most natural state.

Do you also cut on wet hair?
No, I always cut on wet hair unless you're transitioning (and only if YOU are okay with this).

Do I get a refund if I'm not satisfied with the result?
No, because at Curly Sali you are guaranteed to turn back home with the best results! If at any moment, you wouldn't be satisfied with, then we can always discuss!

I saw a result online/ on your website. I would like to have the same cut, is this possible?
The pictures are handy to understand what you would like. But keep in mind that you can't compare your hair to someone elses because hairtypes are different and some hairs are healthier or less damaged than others.
